 Well, I purchased this vehicle because I wanted to have a toy that I can drive around on a weekends and a vehicle that will provide truly thrilling acceleration, comfort and style.  I test drove several sport cars build by Mercedes, Porsche, but Lotus Elise seems to be the only one that provides a trully sporty performance, refinement, ease of operation and outstanding value. It seems to have better handling and control than other models, not only on the highway, but also on a city street. It quickly infuses the driver with confidence. It feels like it has more grip than some of the competitors and it does. Besides that I always wanted a Lotus and was looking for the right oportunity to own one.

I spend months looking for a very good deal on the Lotus because I wanted to save money to spend on  loading  it with all possible bells and whisles to have maximum performance. I finally found one that had a minor damage that could be easily fixed without effecting vehicle sfety or performance levels in the future.  At the time of the purchase this Lotus was operable and all was needed to be fixed was a rear clamp shell, right rear lower and upper control arms, and left rear wheel.  Since I was repairing it for myself I have taken it to the state of the art repair facility, and have used only genuine Lotus parts. Even though the rear clamp shell could be easily repaired (see attached pictures) I choose to replace it with the new one. The vehicle was repaired RIGHT to meet any government safety requirement and it is extremely difficult to determine that it has ever been fixed.  It drives straight and alligns perfectly.

Besides spending the money to repair it right I have spend a considerable amount of money on tunning of this vehicle.

I just put brand new brake pads on it, it has new tires with over 95% treat left, custom made wheels. The wheels were special ordered fand manufactured for this Lotus and I will be very surprised if you ever find another Lotus with this kind of wheels.

I can’t express how much attention I am getting when driving this unique vehicle. Every head in every car you pass turns to look at you, people want to know what type of car it is anywhere I stop.  It is definatly an attention grabber that gives you image and prestigue of a $100+K vehicle for a fraction of that.

I put over 4,000 miles on this vehicle over the summer and enjoyed every bid of the drive. I liked it so much that I used this sweet cream puff as a daily driver. Unfortunatly, my lovely wife and two kids feel differently about me driving it. Listening my wife expressing very strong opinion about the need for the second 4 door car instead of my Lotus, lately has become an issue in my household. Therefore, I am forced to find a new home for my precious toy.
